- April 15th, Sun., 2-4pm — Pavarotti's Table
Our annual afternoon of music and fun provided by the singers of the Opera Colorado Ensemble — Pavarotti's Table — will take place in the recital room at Onofrio's Piano, 1331 S. Broadway Blvd., Denver (map), on Sunday, April 15th, 2012, 2-4pm. Details to come.
- May 20th, Sun., 11:00am — General Meeting and Scholarship Awards
The 2012 General Meeting of Il Circolo Italiano di Denver takes place on Sunday, May 20th, at the Mt. Vernon Country Club (directions), at 11:00am. At this time business matters and election of Board members will be taken up and scholarship awards will be made. More information to come.

Typical Activities Held Throughout the Year*
- Annual Election of Officers
At our annual business meeting officers are elected and scholarships are awarded to selected students to further their studies in the Italian language and culture. This meeting usually takes place in May.
- Christmas Party
Each year a different local Italian venue is selected for hosting our Christmas party, a social and festive occasion.
- Ferragosto
August in Italy is the time when most people take their vacations, relax, and have a good time. We remember this time with our annual picnic in August.
- Italian Cultural Events
Il Circolo Italiano di Denver supports events and activities related to the Italian culture such as CIAPA.
- Italian Heritage Celebration
October is Italian Heritage Month. We invite speakers to come and share with us something about Italian or Italian-American history or culture. Il Circolo Italiano also always participates in the annual, historic Columbus Day parade in Denver.
- Italian Language Classes
From time to time we offer classes in basic conversational Italian.
- Pavarotti’s Table
Il Circolo Italiano di Denver honors this great singer by inviting the Opera Colorado Ensemble to entertain us with selected arias from great operas. We also provide Opera Colorado with an education grant each year.
- Scholarship Award
Each year we hold a variety of activities to raise money In support of our education grants and scholarships, In recent years we have offered an afternoon of card playing. But not just any old cards. We offer traditional Italian card games such as Briscola and Scopa. For the uninitiated we provide tutors.The more experienced Italian card players may want to organize their own table. The goal is have fun and raise money — both of which we do in spades.
