Il Circolo Italiano awards scholarships to deserving high students who are currently enrolled in an Italian language class.
Criteria for Awarding a High School Scholarship
- Be a high school senior

- Be enrolled in an Italian language class
- Be a Colorado resident
- Have a 3.0 grade point average (on a 4.0 grading scale)
Note: Recipients of a high school scholarship will receive their award when proof of satisfactory completion of one year (2 semesters or 3 quarters) of an Italian language class at a Colorado college or university is presented to the Board of il Circolo Italiano di Denver.
Applications
In 2011 the closing date for applications is March 26, 2012. All applications must include the following:
- Official high school transcript including grade point ratio.
- Letters of recommendation from two teachers, one of whom must be the Italian teacher.
- Proof of completion of an Italian language class at a Colorado college.
- Applications and supporting materials should be sent to the Scholarship Chairman

Awarding of Scholarships
- Recipients will be notified by April 26, 2012.
- Scholarships will be awarded on May 20, 2012, at the annual meeting of il Circolo Italiano di Denver. Winners must attend the ceremony.
- The scholarship is awarded for use during the 2012/2013 Academic Year.
